Short summary
Colombia is regularly struck by damaging earthquakes. We gathered and uniformly processed 7550 recordings from 667 shallow earthquakes into a single open collection describing each earthquake, recording site and level of shaking. Comparison with widely used prediction methods confirmed its quality. The collection can help engineers design safer buildings and improve earthquake hazard maps in Colombia and similar regions.
