Short summary
We integrated nearly 30 years of global ocean temperature and salinity profile data with satellite mesoscale eddy observations, matching 5.46 million in-situ profiles to adjacent eddies. This dataset enables researchers to characterize the regional three-dimensional eddy structure and investigate how eddies modify ocean thermohaline distributions, alter stratification and mixing, trigger extreme events, drive heat and tracer transport, and respond to climate change.
