Lines 87-90. This part is a bit unclear. I would say that if 1 and 2 are met and the coral is in growth position, than it is a RSL index point. If only #1 is met, then it is a marine limiting. Maybe rephrase?

Line 114. unique identifier (WALIS U-Series ID). I think it is better to be specific.

Line 125. You can mention that this sample naming system has been proposed also for samples dated with other techniques in WALIS, it was indeed inspiered by your work.

Line 308. "is by its nature a subjective undertaking". I am not sure I agree to this. Identifying reef assemblages is not subjective if you can identify species/genus, what has a certain degree of subjectivity is the connection with paleo sea level. Maybe worth rephrasing a bit?

Line 590. I do not remember if Hallmann et al. have sites also here. Please cross-check and maybe refer to their paper also in this instance.
